Holidays are a great time for clever promotions, and mobile apps make it easier than ever to conduct campaigns and boost participation. That’s why we wanted to take a closer look last month and see what our customers were doing around the holidays.
In our "12 Days of Christmas App Promotions" series, we highlighted on LinkedIn the ways in which Rovertown customers drove visits, gave back to their communities, or simply spread a little extra holiday cheer.

Day 1: Parker’s
Our friends in Savannah, Georgia kicked off the holiday season with their Appmas campaign: six days packed full of everything from gifts and rewards to instant-wins and challenges. Click here to learn more.
Day 2: United Dairy Farmers
Zooming over to Cincinnati, the UDF team surprised and delighted customers with their Christmas Cash Giveaway. For each participating product purchased, members of the U-Drive Plus loyalty program got a chance to shake a digital snow globe for prizes. The odds gave them a 1-in-7 chance to score instant prizes or sweepstakes entries for $1,000 or $15,000 in cash. Click here to learn more.
Day 3: GoMart
Our friends in West Virginia teamed up with M&M’s for their Winter Wonderland campaign, giving users extra rewards points—and unlocking tokens—for purchasing specially marked products. Those who collected all five tokens got an extra 2,500 points added to their rewards account. Click here to learn more.
Day 4: Y-Not Stop
Down in Louisiana, our friends at Y-Not Stop focused on daily giveaways in their own “12 Days” campaign. One lucky winner even scored a year’s worth of free gas! Click here to learn more.
Day 5: Double Kwik
Out in Kentucky, the team at Double Kwik also ran a “12 Days” countdown full of sweet deals. This meant everything from free cinnamon rolls to free coffee or hot chocolate on Christmas Eve—which surely came as a relief to all those last-minute shoppers! Click here to learn more.
Day 6: Dandy
Over in New York, the team at Dandy did something truly special with their annual Dandy Canes campaign. Each store team selected one or two local charities, and from November 24th through December 26th, Dandy invited customers to make donations of $1.00 or more to these organizations. The previous year’s campaign raised over $100,000 with 100% of funds donated. Click here to learn more.
Day 7: Road Ranger
Rather than “12 Days” of Christmas, our friends at Road Ranger decided to raise the bar with 24 full days of giveaways. Participating was simple for anyone who had the Road Ranger app. We’re still a bit jealous of whoever won that Al Capone scotch glass set, but there’s always next year. Click here to learn more.
Day 8: Spinx
Over in South Carolina, the team at Spinx ran a great promotion for an extra 25¢ off, per gallon, at the pumps. Participating was easy: simply download the Spinx app, enroll in Xtras Pay, and pay with the app! Click here to learn more.
Day 9: Power Market
Out in California, our friends at H&S Energy Products had their own “15 Days” countdown at their Power Market stores. Participating was easy: just download the Power Market app and check each day to see what was being offered. Click here to learn more.
Day 10: Lassus
Over in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the team at Lassus delighted customers with five days of sweet deals—including one day with a free 20oz peppermint mocha cappuccino. To participate, customers simply clicked to redeem each deal on the app before showing their phone to the cashier. Click here to learn more.
Day 11: Friendship
In Ohio, the Friendship team also ran a “12 Days” countdown by leveraging their mobile app. Customers simply clicked to redeem each deal and scanned the barcode at checkout. Click here to learn more.
Day 12: Shop Rite / Tobacco Plus
Rounding out our series, the Shop Rite team ran twelve days of awesome giveaways down in Louisiana. Participating was easy. By clicking the giveaway graphic in the app and filling out the form, customers were entered into a drawing for $50 gift cards—with one receiving $250. Click here to learn more.
